Renaissance is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees that sets direction and holds the school accountable, and led day to day by school leadership who carry that direction into the classroom.
A volunteer board that sets strategic direction, approves the annual budget, and holds fiduciary and policy oversight of the school. The board hires, supports, and evaluates the Head of School.
Responsible for day-to-day operations, academics, hiring, and the lived experience of every student and family on campus - reporting to and accountable to the board.
Standing committees - covering areas like finance, academics, and facilities - do focused work between board meetings and bring recommendations back to the full board.
A school can drift without structure to hold it accountable. The board exists so that decisions about budget, leadership, and long-term direction aren't made by any one person in isolation - and so that the mission outlasts any individual's tenure. Outside accreditation through Cognia, SACS, and CASI adds a further layer of independent review.
Major decisions - calendar changes, tuition adjustments, new programs - are communicated to families well ahead of time. If you have a question or concern that belongs in front of the board, the office can help route it appropriately.
Reach out and we'll make sure it gets to the right person.
