A small college-prep high school where every student is known, every class is taught by a specialist, and the AP program is open - not gated.
High schoolers carry a typical 8-class schedule - required Texas curriculum, electives, and our integrated Islamic Studies / Qur'an block woven through the year.
Mondays are early dismissal all year - 2:30 to 3:00 PM for the whole school, Pre-K through high school. Tuesday through Friday the regular dismissal window is 3:25 to 3:55 PM. The afterschool program runs until 5:00 PM, Mondays included.
A full Texas Foundation High School Program - paired with the most rigorous Islamic Studies program of any college-prep high school in the area.
We deliberately keep AP open to motivated students rather than gatekeeping by rank. Students self-select with advisor guidance, and we support every AP class with after-school review sessions.
Course offerings rotate by year based on student interest and staffing. Confirm current AP availability with the office before enrollment decisions.
Our college counselor begins working with families in 10th grade - building a transcript that reflects each student's strengths, identifying the right schools, and walking through every application step.
Renaissance graduates have matriculated to the University of Texas at Austin, Texas A&M, UT Dallas, UT San Antonio, Baylor, Rice, and several out-of-state and international programs - pursuing engineering, medicine, business, computer science, and Islamic studies.
In their final year, every Renaissance student completes a capstone project - a research thesis or original work synthesizing their academic and Islamic learning. Past topics have ranged from environmental ethics in fiqh to AI bias to community-based public health. It's the project they'll be proudest of when they leave.
