Pillar 3

A healthy body, trained on purpose.

Every grade band gets structured movement and a real health curriculum - taught in a setting that's mindful of modesty, so students stay active without ever feeling like comfort was traded for activity.

By Grade Band

PE that grows with each student.

Pre-K

Gross motor play

Short, frequent movement breaks built around play - climbing, running, and balance, suited to early-childhood development.

Elementary

Fundamentals & games

Coordination, teamwork, and basic sport skills through structured games - building the habit of regular activity.

Middle School

Skill & conditioning

More structured units - fitness, conditioning, and team sport skills, with separate activity time by gender.

High School

Health & fitness literacy

Fitness planning and health education alongside physical activity, preparing students to stay active well beyond graduation.

Our Approach

Active, and comfortable.

Modesty in practice

Physical activity and modesty aren't in tension at Renaissance - they're both just part of how we run PE. Activities are structured with appropriate separation, indoor and outdoor space is used thoughtfully, and every student gets a full, real PE experience without ever being asked to choose between staying active and staying comfortable.

Where It Happens

Indoor gym and outdoor play areas.

PE makes use of both our indoor gym and dedicated outdoor play space - so activity isn't cancelled by weather, and students get fresh air whenever it's available.
